We are currently evaluating claims against Exactech related to failure and recall of the Connexion GXL hip liner. We allege a defect in the liner causes increases failure of the prosthetic hip. The liner is made of polyethylene, a type of plastic, and is inserted between the “ball” and “socket” of the hip joint. If the polyethylene liner wears prematurely due to a defect, premature failure can occur. The failure may be due to bone loss or a variety of other modalities.
